Petasites Blooms

A strange little plant you will always find beginning of spring near to water... It is a healing plant that serves as a painkiller. Its tiny blooms are loveley...

Petals in Orange...

Asters are my absolute top favourite blooms in autumn. I especially love their warm colours and cannot get enough photographing them in all their shades and hues.
Don't forget to click on the photos for enlargement - only then you can see their little jewels - dewdrops...

More Autumn Colours

I love Asters - their colours are so intense during this time of the year and their little blooms always seem to have little happy faces...

Fall Colours in Lilac....

For me it is very consoling that I can still see a lot of colours by this time of the year. I really hope there is still some time left before everything becomes dull and boring....

Colour Spots in between...

Dahlias are the last flowers of summer. I love them very much for their colour intensity. But it is also an ambivalent love - knowing that the cold times are not far away any more...

GTS - Green Thumb Sunday

One of the late summer greetings of this year. The friendly turquoise colour of the hut and the bright pink dahlia - what could be a better reminiscence of warm summer evenings in the garden?

Late Dahlia

Yes - you can find them still - some gardens still have flowers - a little bit "used" by the wind and the rain but as long as there is no frost they are still living. This one has been photographed a couple of weeks ago though...

The prettiest Sunflower I have ever seen...

Well - the last 3 days I really had an ordeal: computer crash - everything locked up because of a problem between my internet security program and the internet connection provider. I finally managed to get my system back running smoothly. So there was no GTS - photo yesterday as you can imagine - I spent about 14 hours yesterday only on the computer to get it running again. Now I can relax again and get back to normal work.

For you (and my my own soul healing - LOL) I want to show you the prettiest sunflower smile I have ever seen. This must be a new breed because I have never seen these before. When I saw them for the first time I had to laugh out loud because they looked so marvellously funny and made me simply happy. What a flower!!!

Be sure to click on the images for enlargement (as always) - Btw - I did not change these colours artificially - it was just a perfect day with a perfect flower!

Red Dahlia with a sweet Visitor...

I love not only these flowers but especially the frequent visitors such as bumble bees. I love their humming noise and could watch them for hours...

The CSI Dahlia...

I am watching too much CSI on tv I think but I could not help - to me this bloom looks as if sprinkled with blood - looks a bit creepy - doesn't it??

The Colour of the Sun...

One of the last for this year I think - oh I am going to miss these, their colours...

Little yellow Suns

These are really little happy suns...how do you call it in English? In German we call them "sun bride" - literally translated...
